City Choir is rehearsing in person now (until circumstance changes that may require meeting online using a combination of Zoom and Jamulus.)

Join us for the fall 2023 semester by filling out this online Member Registration Form.

City Choir welcomes new choristers who share our passion for singing. Our five, talented directors take us through a wide range of musical styles and sometimes challenging repertoire. Having an open mind is important, as you may be asked to sing in an unfamiliar language or an original composition (sometimes with movement) from week to week. It’s a lot of fun, and the two hours fly by as we learn, laugh and sing together. Listen to examples of what we have rehearsed.

We rehearse in-person every Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 9pm

Uncertain if you’re a soprano, alto, tenor or bass or don’t know how to read music? Contact to determine how to proceed.

We ask that our members commit to attending most weekly rehearsals, in order to be fully prepared for upcoming performances. Training aids including music files, video clips and audio files are provided as needed.

Don’t want to commit for a full year? City Choir is sessionally based, with two per year (Fall and Spring). Both sessions usually include a City Choir self-produced concert and other less formal performances. We also encourage members to perform as solo, duet, and small ensembles. See examples of rehearsals and performances we have given in the past.

City Choir is fully funded by our ongoing fundraising concerts and other activities, and we encourage members to participate at a level most comfortable for them. If you are not interested in becoming a singing member but would like to support the work of City Choir, please consider making a personal donation of time or money. Check us out. We’re happy for you to attend an upcoming online rehearsal to see if City Choir is right for you. It’s easy to arrange … just email us.
